Situation
The Technology & Innovation function needed a fresh program management and governance approach to allow it to move quickly and bring innovative products and services to the marketplace faster.
Complication
The function was encumbered by the burdensome, risk averse PMO framework that had been designed for the legacy business.
Transformation
We designed and implemented a lightweight, agile âPMO of PMOsâ that maintained the core principles of the wider framework but allowed the T&I function to move quickly, dynamically reallocate resources and fail fast.
Outcome
Having established and operated the PMO for 12 months, it came to be recognised as a Centre of Excellence within the broader organisation, which looked to adopt the same principles as part of its wider governance framework.
